Founded in 2015, The Tarkovski Grant has helped more than 6,000 independent filmmakers continue sharing their work around the world. Films supported through the initiative have gone on to screen at festivals including Cannes, Sundance and TIFF, while several have later received Academy Award recognition.

Before You Begin

A few things to keep in mind:

• Submission fee waivers do not guarantee selection.

• Every festival has its own rules and deadlines.

• Please read each festival's eligibility requirements before submitting.

• Waiver codes are intended solely for the recipient of this grant and should not be shared.

• Choose festivals matching your genre: documentary → documentary festivals, short → short festivals, animation → festivals accepting animation, etc.

• Each participating festival has its own submission deadline, and your waiver code is valid only for the festival edition specified below. To take advantage of your grant, please submit your film before the applicable deadline.
